Trinitas Chapel

Trinitas Chapel has served as the spiritual home of the University of Providence community for over 60 years.

Designed by Page & Werner Architects, the chapel was formally opened by the Sisters of Providence in September of 1960 to serve the residents of the adjacent convent and the campus community.

Highlights of this new sacred space included wood carvings, metalwork, and mosaics by Sr. Mary Trinitas Morin, S.P. In 1964, the chapel bell tower and stained-glass windows were added in commemoration of the centennial anniversary of the Sisters of Providence mission to Montana. In the 1990s, the chapel was named Trinitas in honor of the Holy Trinity, and in recognition of Sr. Mary Trinitas.

Today the chapel continues to serve the University community through the regular celebration of the Eucharist, student baptisms, alumni weddings, and annual Baccalaureate Masses.

 

Trinitas Chapel and Worship Location Update

Until the renovations begin on the chapel, we are gathering at Trinitas Chapel for prayer and Sunday Mass. The space is available every day for personal prayer and meditation as well. Please find a map below with the location of Trinitas Chapel (#1).
