The University of Providence Deepens Support of Healthcare Community through Healthcare Professionals Tuition Incentive Program

FOR RELEASE: Feb. 20th, 2024

GREAT FALLS, MT – The University of Providence (UP) is elevating its support to local and regional healthcare communities through the launch of the Healthcare Professionals Tuition Incentive program (HPTI).

The HPTI program will launch in fall of 2024 and will be open to all healthcare professionals, and will be applicable to those in both clinical and administrative roles.

“The incentive is coming at a time when the need to serve our local and regional community is at an all-time high,” said Makenzie Stick, Vice President of Enrollment Management at the University of Providence. “We are exploring all avenues when it comes to supporting the staffing challenges faced by our local healthcare community by providing options to support their corresponding higher education needs at a reduced cost.”

This tuition incentive can be applied to most programs in UP’s School of Health Professions. Those programs range from undergraduate certificates in medical assisting and pharmacy technician to undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees in healthcare administration, nursing, clinical mental health counseling, and more.

“[The tuition incentive] is meant to provide utmost convenience for both the employer and the applicant. The tuition incentive will be applied without additional application, and can be offered in tandem with any existing employer tuition assistance programs, allowing employers who offer these programs to stretch their budget dollars further,” said Stick.

The HPTI program is just one way UP is continuing to expand its local and regional partnerships while continuing to support those in the healthcare industry.

“I can only see growth in our future in terms of all possible partnerships, including those in healthcare,” said Stick. “We are approaching partnerships with renewed interest and energy. We welcome all opportunities to collaborate with our friends and neighbors to lift up our local, regional, and state communities.”
