We connect people with each other, people with their communities, people with opportunities, people with God, and most importantly, people with their potential.
Boldly founded by the Sisters of Providence in 1932, the University of Providence leans on a strong foundation of courage, resolve, and principle.
Today the university continues to honor the sisters’ aspirational vision by providing an enriched education that goes beyond schooling. Mission-driven and guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ, students are supported in their pursuit of academic excellence and provided an innovative and emboldened environment for personal development. At UP, students are uplifted through education, inspired by faith, and energized through community – creating engaged citizens who discover their whole selves, find their passion, and share it all with the world.
While grounded in the teachings of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, all are welcome to become a part of the University of Providence family and its bright future.
