As 2018 progresses, so does the execution of our strategic plan. During the week of Jan. 29, our five primary work teams met for a kick-off meeting. The purpose of the kick-off meetings was to introduce team members to one another and to orient teams to the important work ahead. As a reminder, these five primary work teams are aligned with each of the five pillars of our strategic plan: academic excellence and program development; retention and student experience; mission alignment; market positioning and enrollment; and organizational effectiveness. Throughout the month of Feb., the teams will begin to prioritize and execute the work that is included under their aligned pillar. This work will help University of Providence achieve the target metrics and strategic outcomes outlined in our strategic plan.
To ensure our strategy execution work is accessible to the campus community, all documents are accessible to faculty and staff in the Strategy Execution folder on the campus shared drive (drive U:\). Students can access the same documents at the UP Student Share (if prompted enter your ArgoMail username and password). The shared drive (for faculty and staff) and the UP Student Share (for students) houses information such as each team’s charter (which includes team members), meeting notes, and other documents that support the teams’ work. An online dashboard provides an at-a-glance status report on the strategy execution work; an online project plan provides additional detail by workstream. Please note that the project plan and dashboards are awaiting feedback from the teams, which means they are still in draft form and will likely change as the teams refine their work.
Please reach out to me or to those involved with the strategy execution work with questions or suggestions. This is an important campus-wide effort and I want to ensure everyone has a chance to participate in helping achieve our goals.
