Controller, Jillian Ehnot

I am very excited to be joining the staff at the University of Providence. I grew up in Great Falls and have lived in Montana my whole life. I have watched how this University has transformed over time and I am enthusiastic to now be a part of the future of University of Providence.

I come to UP from the Great Falls College- MSU where I was for the last eight years, starting out as a Staff Accountant and then became the Controller for the last five years. In this position I oversaw Finance, Student Accounts, Payroll, and Auxiliary services. While with this organization I completed a Grants Management Certificate program and managed a number of large federal grants.  One of the largest and most visible was managing $1.5 million EDA construction grant for remodeling of our campus’s trades building where I was involved in all stages from working with architects and engineers, weekly involvement with contractors, management of all contracts and purchases, in addition to fulfilling federal grant reporting requirements.  Prior to my position at GFC-MSU I worked as an Accountant for Montana State Fund and a Risk Management Specialist at Benefis.

My family enjoys doing outdoor activities so you will find us skiing in the winter time and in the summer time we are boating, camping, or riding ATVs. We also love to travel and explore new places.

I look forward to working with the campus community going forward. The Finance department hopes to be able to engage the rest of the campus in forward thinking financial matters. We are working to roll out regular departmental financial reports in the near future to help bring clearer financial information to all. In the meantime if you have any questions related to Finance you can contact me at jillian.ehnot@uprovidence.edu or 406.791.5307.
