Former College of Great Falls graduate (now known as the University of Providence), Mary Anne Sladich-Lantz, will receive an Honorary Doctorate during commencement on Saturday, May 1.
Currently, Mary Anne is the Group Vice President for Ministry Leadership Formation for the Providence Health System, and is known as the driving force behind the Providence Ministry Leadership Formation program. Her work in the program has proven transformative mission-based leadership in the Providence Health System and the University of Providence, and has contributed materially to the professional development of hundreds of leaders over the past several years.
Mary Anne has a long history of working to improve care and service to others, including her time in the Providence Health System, where she designed and implemented a comprehensive formation for all Providence Health System leaders and caregivers.
Previously, Mary Anne served more than 13 years as Vice President of Mission Leadership at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. She also provided ministry leadership formation for five Catholic health systems, two of which include Providence and St. Joseph, while working with Ministry Leadership in Sacramento, California.
Mary Anne has worked with developmentally disabled adults for several years, and has worked as a Pastoral Associate in the Diocese of Great Falls/Billings in the areas of leadership development, adult and teen faith formation, liturgy, spiritual direction/counseling and administration.
Throughout Mary Anne’s various roles within the Providence Health System, she has worked with leaders, physicians, and all caregivers on personal, spiritual and professional development in connecting the dots between personal mission and the organization’s Mission.
Mary Anne was born and raised in Anaconda, Montana and earned a BA in Sociology/Psychology from the College of Great Falls.
