GREAT FALLS, MONTANA – The University of Providence and Alluvion Health is proud to offer a second COVID-19 testing location to the Cascade County community, further increasing testing access.

This second testing site continues to support the community, to mitigate against the spread of COVID-19 both internally on campus, and within the community. The second testing site is located in the University of Providence Recreation Center Building, formerly known as the Old ‘Bingo Bonanza’ building next to El Comedor.

In preparation for the return of residential students coming back to the University campus (after an absence of nearly 9 months), the initial collaboration with Alluvion Health aimed at a goal of serving, supporting, and mitigating risk to our campus population during the COVID-19 crisis. This effort included:

• Baseline COVID-19 testing of all campus and commuter students
• On-going, frequent, COVID-19 testing of students and staff
• On-site medical professional to staff the campus student health office
• Tele-health support for all campus and commuter students

The second branch of the University of Providence and Alluvion Health partnership is such that a Real-time PCR machine was purchased by the University, and provided to the Adlera Lab, operated by Alluvion Health, for the purpose of increased testing capabilities to serve both the University of Providence, but more importantly, the greater community of Cascade County. This effort also included the use of saliva collections as a means of PCR testing, as opposed to the nasopharyngeal swabs. PCR testing through the use of saliva continues to be restricted to the University of Providence, at this time.

Anyone of any age is eligible to get tested and a physician’s note is not required.

Both locations are open Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

Access via the 6th Street entrance. Once entering the gates, take an immediate left and follow signage to mobile clinic unit.

Both testing sites provide more accessibility to COVID-19 testing and community testing will continue to be done via nasal swab. The aim of the University of Providence and Alluvion Health partnership is to offer continued support to the students, faculty and staff of the UP campus and the Great Falls community at large.

The mission of the University of Providence is to serve the needs of those most vulnerable and this initiative and partnership allows more opportunities to serve that mission.
