GREAT FALLS, MONTANA – The University of Providence (UP) welcomes two new hires to the university’s leadership: Caroline Goulet as the university’s new Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, and A. J. Hoy as the new Vice President of Mission Integration.
“These additions to UP’s leadership team reflect our commitment to academic excellence while remaining firmly rooted in our mission,” said Fr. Oliver Doyle, President of UP.
As provost, Goulet will serve as an advocate for both schools within UP, including the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the School of Health Professions.
Goulet comes to Great Falls from San Antonio, Texas, where she served as the Associate Provost for Health Professions and Professor at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW).
“Dr. Goulet, a recognized leader in education, brings her rich experience to developing the educational life of the University,” Doyle said.
Goulet will continue to work on the university’s programs, educational policy, academic planning and resources, and more.
Within the role of Mission Integration, Hoy will build structures and policies within the university to cultivate a robust mission-oriented culture, while holding the values carried by the Sisters of Providence, the founders of UP.
“We need the Great Falls community to support this work because it’s not something that we can do ourselves. And we want our students to be integral parts of the community, but also the community be integral to campus life,” Hoy said.
Hoy comes to Great Falls from Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as the Associate Director of Newman Catholic Campus Ministry, and as the Catholic Campus Minister at the College of Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio.
“A.J. Hoy, as our new mission leader, will enhance our community as he shares his prior experiences in academic and pastoral leadership both in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio, and at Oberlin College,” Doyle said.
