Welcome Marco Rustici

Dear UP Community,

It is my pleasure to introduce our new Director of Marketing and Communications, Marco Rustici.  Marco arrived on campus last Tuesday, September 4, 2019.  His responsibilities will include all marketing and communications promoting the University of Providence and university events.

Marco Rustici is a multi-lingual executive (Italian, Spanish, English) with a record of developing successful businesses, generating strong Educational, B2B and B2C products and services, and boosting sales in domestic and international markets. His expertise spans the Internet, OTT, cable TV, digital media, and online education sectors. Before joining the University of Providence Marco was recruited to transform Victra/Verizon’s marketing efforts from a traditional legacy approach to an aggressive focus on online digital campaigns with an emphasis on email marketing and CRM.

Prior to Victra/Verizon, he served as the Executive Director of Marketing and Business Development at Mediander.com, a media content enhancement services provider that works with VOD, OTT, and educational content providers to increase B2B engagement, improve retention, reduce churn and boost B2B revenue in the Education and Entertainment sectors.

From 2013 –2016, Marco was the Group Director of Marketing at Verizon Communications, where he developed and implemented a digital marketing strategy for the general market, ethnic, and University segments. He created business strategies spanning advertising, sales, product development, and product introductions. Marco developed OTT applications for discrete consumer and University segments. Earlier, Marco was the Director of Marketing Strategy at Comcast Cable, where he developed and implemented video and high-speed data digital marketing strategies for both general market and University segments throughout Chicagoland. From 2005 – 2009, Marco served as the Vice President of Content Strategy at CenturyLink where he devised and led the execution of broadband television service strategy and negotiated profitable partnerships with OTT and University content creation industry leaders.

Marco’s first experience in developing educational online services was at LatinFusion.com, a start-up that focused on providing the first in the USA online classes (K-12 and University level) to Hispanic families.

Please join me in welcoming Marco Rustici to the University of Providence community and Great Falls.
