Areas of scholarship:

My areas of specialty are political philosophy and creative writing.  I have published in these areas and have given numerous talks (both professional and non-professional).

I am currently the co-editor of the Studies in the Thought of Paul Ricoeur, a 20th Century philosopher. Here is a link:  https://rowman.com/Action/SERIES/_/STP/Studies-in-the-Thought-of-Paul-Ricoeur

For a recent example of my interest in combining creative nonfiction with philosophical questions, see my essay, “Daddy’s Aitch” in the New England Review, which explores the nature of work and identity in the context of my father’s work in a slaughterhouse.

Advice for students: I am new to the community, but I look forward to working on campus raise the presence of SLAS and extending this presence to Great Falls and beyond.

Favorite Things to Do in Great Falls: I enjoy getting familiar with the beautiful falls and looking at boots and hats at Hoglunds

Hobbies: Golf, and playing guitar
