Courses Taught: I primarily teach philosophy but occasionally also teach COD and ILC courses
Areas of scholarship: Plato and the Platonist tradition. More specifically, my research tends to focus on the themes of godlikeness, participation in the divine, and pedagogy in Plato and the Neoplatonists
Campus and Community Involvement: On campus I serve the students directly through teaching, the faculty through governance committees and as department chair, the administration through sincere collaboration; in the community and beyond I serve my family, my church, and several local businesses, most notably Kelly’s Comics.

Favorite Things to Do in Great Falls: Watch swallows near Crooked Falls and Giant Springs and Beaver Bend; watch prairie dogs and burrowing owls at the Buffalo Jump; take my kids to the fair and the farmer’s market and all the special events downtown and at the Buffalo Jump; hang out at and patronize Kelly’s Comics; watch dirt track racing with my kids at Electric City Speedway; teach philosophy at UP; attend UP sporting events; walk to school; walk to church; walk to Kelly’s Comics; walk the streets; attend the symphony and chamber concert series; get out of Great Falls and hike in the Highwoods, Little Belts, Big Belts, and Rockies
