Education History:

Areas of scholarship: My current scholarship revolves around the development of undergraduate math curriculum that is deeply integrated between courses and whose ‘pure math’ core can most effectively springboard into the broadest possible range of ‘applied math’ career paths. I enjoy developing instructional models and practical problem-solving software in Octave and GeoGebra and sharing them down to the secondary level through the annual MFPE educator’s meetings.
Campus and Community Involvement: I serve on the UP SLAS curriculum committee, and as a good steward of the landscape around Great Falls.
Advice for students: Pain is a good teacher.
Favorite Things to Do in Great Falls: My favorite things to do in Great Falls are eating a Lewistown sub from the Montana Sub Shop and walking on the River’s Edge trail.
Hobbies: My hobbies include the practice of traditional northern kung fu, outdoor recreation, making cookies, and tinkering with salvaged electrical devices
