Direct Admission Program

Direct Admission Program

The University of Providence is thrilled to launch a new and innovative Direct Admission Partnership for high school students in the Great Falls, Montana, and surrounding high schools. This exciting initiative is designed to provide local students with a seamless pathway to higher education at UP, making college more accessible and attainable.

We are proud to collaborate with eager and forward-thinking high school partners who share our commitment to empowering students and expanding educational opportunities. As part of this initiative, UP is focused on building strong relationships with area high schools and creating a student-centered process that emphasizes academic potential and community connection.

We are excited to offer this streamlined admission process, helping students take the next step toward achieving their academic and career goals right here in Montana.

Direct Admission Criteria

The Direct Admission Partnership requires two main criteria to be met for a student to be eligible:

GPA of 3.0 or higher
Completion of all high school coursework

(in-progress coursework is acceptable)

Student Expectations

If a student meets the criteria or is on track to meet the criteria by high school graduation, they are guaranteed admission to UP, and will receive a preliminary scholarship based on their academic achievements. Upon receiving the direct admission offer, a student will need to complete:

Acceptance Form

This is NOT the university application and will not require an essay or letters of recommendation. It takes most students around five minutes to complete.

A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

This is for full financial aid consideration.

*Important Note

Students will also need to maintain their high school GPA during their senior year and are encouraged to be engaged and active within their high school environment.

 Ready to Accept your Offer?

Congratulations, we are so excited to welcome you to the UP family!
